These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Affiliate Disclosure, which form part of the agreement between you and us.

3. What this website is (and is not)
Go Visit Cyprus is an independent travel information website for visitors to Cyprus. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any government body, tourism authority or official organization.
We are not a travel agent, tour operator, hotel, car hire company, transport provider, event organizer or ticket seller. We do not take bookings or payments for any travel service through the Website, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with a third-party provider.
4. Accuracy of information
We take reasonable care to keep the information on the Website useful and up to date, but travel information changes quickly. Opening hours, entry fees, prices, transport options, entry requirements, event details and business information may change without notice.
- The Website and its content are provided for general information only and do not constitute professional, legal, medical or financial advice.
- Prices shown as “from” or “starting at” are indicative and may not be available on your dates.
- Photographs and maps are illustrative and may not show current conditions.
- Please confirm important details (for example opening times, tickets, routes and travel requirements) with the venue, organizer, provider or official source before you travel.
If you spot an error, please let us know and we will do our best to correct it.
5. Events
Our event pages summarize information published by organizers and venues. Dates, times, line-ups, venues, ticket prices and availability are controlled by the organizer and may be changed, postponed or cancelled. We do not organize these events and are not responsible for their cancellation, changes or quality. Please check the organizer’s official channels before making plans. Pages about past events may stay online as an archive and are marked accordingly where possible.
6. Emergency information, safety and travel at your own risk
The emergency numbers and contacts listed on the Website are provided as a convenience. We cannot guarantee that they are complete or current, and they are no substitute for official guidance. In a life-threatening emergency, call 112 immediately.
Activities described on the Website, such as hiking, swimming, snorkeling, boat trips, driving and mountain travel, involve risk. You are responsible for your own safety and that of anyone in your care. Please follow local laws, safety signs, weather warnings and the instructions of qualified providers, check current entry and health requirements, and arrange appropriate travel insurance.
7. Third-party links, bookings and affiliate links
The Website contains links, buttons, widgets and embedded content provided by third parties, including accommodation, tours and activities, car hire, flights, travel insurance and eSIM services. Examples include Stay22, Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Viator, Trip.com, Skyscanner, SafetyWing and Simify.
- Affiliate links. Some links are affiliate links. If you click one and make a booking or purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This helps fund the Website. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
- Your contract is with the provider. Any booking or purchase is made directly with the third party and is governed by their terms, privacy policy and cancellation rules. We are not responsible for prices, availability, service quality, cancellations, refunds, changes or customer support.
- Third-party content. Prices, availability and listings shown in embedded widgets are supplied by the third party and may differ from what we display elsewhere. A link or mention on our Website is not an endorsement or guarantee.
- External websites. We do not control external websites and are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices.
8. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the text, layout, graphics, logos and other content on the Website are owned by us or used under license and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Third-party names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners, and their appearance on the Website does not imply any partnership or endorsement beyond what is stated.
You may view the Website and print or save pages for your own personal, non-commercial trip planning. You may not, without our prior written permission:
- copy, republish, sell or distribute our content or images;
- systematically scrape, harvest or extract content from the Website by automated means;
- remove copyright or attribution notices; or
- present our content as your own.
You are welcome to quote short extracts with a clear credit and a link back to the original page. You may link to the Website provided the link is fair and legal, does not suggest that we endorse you or your website, and does not place our content inside a frame. If you believe content on the Website infringes your rights, please contact us and we will review it promptly.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Website to:
- break any law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its servers or related systems;
- overload, disrupt or interfere with the Website or its security features;
- send spam, unsolicited promotions or abusive messages through our contact channels; or
- use our contact details for marketing without our consent.
We may restrict or block access to the Website if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.
10. Contacting us, advertising and sponsored content
When you email us, we use your details to respond and handle your request, as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not send sensitive personal information by email.
We welcome advertising and partnership inquiries. Any sponsored, paid or gifted content will be clearly labelled as such.
11. Privacy and cookies
We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Cypriot law, as explained in our Privacy Policy. The Website uses cookies and similar technologies, including those set by embedded third-party services, and asks for your consent where required. You can change your choices at any time through the “Privacy settings” link at the bottom of every page.
12. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Website and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that information on it is complete, accurate or suitable for your particular needs.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss, loss of enjoyment, lost bookings, travel costs or lost profits) arising from or connected with:
- your use of, or inability to use, the Website;
- reliance on any information on the Website;
- the acts, omissions, products or services of third parties, including any booking you make through a link on the Website; or
- events being changed, postponed or cancelled.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
14. Other Govisit websites
Go Visit Cyprus is part of a network of destination websites, which we link to from this Website. Each website in the network may have its own terms, privacy policy and affiliate arrangements, and you should read those when you visit them. We are not responsible for the content of the other sites beyond what those sites state about themselves.
15. Changes to the website and these Terms
We may update the Website, or these Terms, from time to time, for example to reflect changes in law, our services or our affiliate relationships. The current version will always be published on this page with the “Last updated” date shown at the top. Your continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
16. General
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, that does not mean we have given it up.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclosure, are the whole agreement between you and us about your use of the Website.
- No third-party rights. These Terms are between you and us; no one else may enforce them.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Website, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of the Republic of Cyprus have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you keep the benefit of the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence and may also bring proceedings in the courts there. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
