Saturday 27 June 2026 · Lympia Community Park Amphitheatre · Nicosia District, Cyprus
For the first time, The Great Gig — A Tribute to Pink Floyd brings its full-scale audiovisual show from Greece to Cyprus. After sold-out nights in Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Patras, Rhodes, Nisyros, and Komotini, the band arrives for a one-night-only summer concert under the stars at the amphitheatre in Lympia (Λύμπια) — a village in the Nicosia district, roughly halfway between the capital and Larnaca.

What to expect
Founded in 2005 by Lefteris Kontogiannis and Petros Spiridelis, The Great Gig is widely regarded as one of Greece’s finest Pink Floyd tribute productions. With more than twenty years on stage, the show is built as a single narrative — not a simple cover set — where music, projections, lighting, and sound effects work together.
Expect carefully chosen tracks spanning the Pink Floyd catalogue: the melancholy of Wish You Were Here, the epic sweep of Shine On You Crazy Diamond, the intensity of Comfortably Numb, and material from The Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, and beyond. Reviews from recent Greek dates describe a near-silent, spellbound audience and a show that runs close to two hours with full production values.
Live the experience. Feel the music. Be part of the journey.

Watch: the music that defines the show
Below, Pink Floyd’s official video for Wish You Were Here — one of the cornerstone pieces audiences can expect in the tribute set. For a sense of the production scale, the second embed is David Gilmour performing Comfortably Numb live at Pompeii, echoing the cinematic atmosphere The Great Gig recreates on stage.
Getting there & practical tips
- From Nicosia: Lympia is about 15–20 minutes by car south-east of the city centre.
- From Larnaca: Roughly 25–30 minutes by car; Larnaca International Airport is the nearest major airport (~27 km).
- Public transport: Village bus links connect Lympia with Nicosia and Larnaca, but services can be limited on Saturday evenings — a taxi or hire car is the most reliable option after the show.
- Arrive early: Doors at 20:00 for a 21:00 start. Open-air seating — bring a light layer; June nights in Cyprus are warm but breezy after sunset.
- Staying overnight? See accommodation options below if you are traveling from elsewhere on the island or flying in for the weekend.
